A wedding is a dream come true and a once-in-a lifetime event for most people. A very important decision to make regarding your wedding is the selection of the perfect venue for the wedding. And, if you are looking to get married in New York, there are hundreds of spectacular venues for you to choose from. You need to ensure that you have the perfect place to celebrate your New York wedding just the way you dreamt it, irrespective of whether you want to have an outdoor feast for 20 or a formal meal for 200. After extensive research, we have narrowed it down to three locations that would leave you stunned and make your wedding perfect.
1. The Foundry: Located in Long Island, Queens, this 19th-century metal foundry has now been restored into a spectacular venue while retaining its industrial character. The fabulous contrast of exposed old brick and the modern steel railings makes this venue a dramatic place to host everything from photo shoots and performances to corporate events and of course the very chic New York weddings. Moreover, because of its stunning proportions, you will be able to have an exemplary sit-down meal for 125 guests, outdoor tent sets for 160, and even a cocktail party for around 200 people.
2.The Central Park Boathouse:Since Central Park and New York are synonymous, it’s not surprising that this is our second choice for a perfect New York wedding venue. Located at the very end of the lake towards the northeast is the famed Loeb Boathouse. It is here that you can see Mother Nature’s magic across the Park; while enjoying a wonderful wedding party, you’ll also see swans and ducks coming right to the deck of the restaurant. The restaurant can accommodate about 80 to 165 guests depending on the season. However, if you choose a sit-down meal along with dancing, the restaurant can accommodate around 230 guests.
3. The Lighthouse: The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers is the perfect place if you wish for a New York wedding overlooking the Hudson River. From its lovely floor-to-ceiling windows, this venue provides memorable view of the river. Although slightly expensive, a wedding here will be an event that your guests aren’t likely to forget in a long time. The venue can cater to about 100 to 700 people in a sit-down dinner and around 1000 in a formal reception.
